Modventrix is a retail operations platform (inventory, point of sale, online storefront, orders and analytics) used by businesses (“Customers”) to run their operations. This policy covers two groups:

• Customers and their staff, the people who sign up for and use Modventrix to operate their business.
• End customers, the shoppers of a business that uses Modventrix. For their data, the business is the data controller and Modventrix acts as a processor on the business's behalf.

• Account information: name, business name, email, phone number and login credentials (passwords are stored only as salted hashes, never in plain text).
• Business data you enter: products, inventory, orders, customers, vendors, invoices and other records you create while using the platform.
• Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type and first-party analytics that help us keep the service secure and improve it.
• Communications: messages you send us (for example, over WhatsApp, email or support channels).

• To provide, operate, secure and improve the platform.
• To set up and support your account, including trial onboarding.
• To communicate with you about service updates, security and support.
• To detect, prevent and address fraud, abuse and technical issues.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information or your business data, and we do not use the business data you enter to advertise to you.

Modventrix is multi-tenant: every record is scoped to the business that owns it, and access is controlled by authentication and role-based permissions so one business cannot see another's data. We protect data in transit with encryption (HTTPS), restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis, and follow industry-standard security practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.

We share information only as needed to run the service:

• Service providers, trusted infrastructure, hosting, storage and communication providers who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
• Payment processors, if you accept payments, the relevant payment provider processes that transaction data under its own terms.
• Legal and safety, where required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Modventrix, our Customers or others.
• Business transfers, in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice where required.

Modventrix serves businesses globally, and information may be processed in countries other than your own. Where we transfer personal data across borders, we take steps to ensure it remains protected and that appropriate safeguards are in place consistent with applicable law.

We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. You can request deletion of your account data, subject to obligations that require us to retain certain records.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Customers can manage much of their data directly in the platform. To make a request, contact us using the details below. End customers of a business should contact that business, which controls their data; we will assist the business as its processor.

We use essential cookies to keep you signed in and the service working, and first-party analytics to understand usage and improve the platform. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling essential cookies may affect functionality.

Modventrix is a business tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
