Multi-branch

Two shops, three shops,
one stock number

The week the second branch opens, the spreadsheet stops being one spreadsheet. Somebody rings the other shop to ask whether the last one is still there, a customer is promised something that sold an hour ago in Gulberg, and the reorder is placed for stock you already own. Modventrix holds every location against one number and lets you move stock rather than buy it twice.

Rs 4,999 / month

What you get

What a second branch actually breaks

One number, held per location

Stock is counted at the branch that holds it and rolled up when you want the total. You can see that the shirt exists without having to guess which shop it is standing in, which is the question that actually gets asked on the phone.

Transfer it instead of buying it again

A shortage in one shop is answered by the stock already sitting in another. Raise a transfer in a couple of taps, both sides of the move are recorded, and you have not spent money on something you already own.

Reports that keep the branches apart

Sales, margin and dead stock separated by location rather than pooled into one total that hides which shop is working. Pooling is how a branch loses money for two quarters without anybody noticing.

Online orders come out of a real branch

The storefront draws from the same pool, and an order is held against whichever location actually has the stock. The last piece cannot sell at a counter and online at the same time.

When this is the wrong plan

If you run one counter and hold stock in one place, this is more than you need and the POS plan at Rs 2,499 does the job. Come back the month you sign the lease on the second shop.

Questions

Asked and answered

Rs 4,999 a month, billed monthly. That covers five locations, transfers between them, bin locations inside each one, purchasing with a supplier ledger and a branded online store, all on one stock pool. It is the same price at one location or five, so opening the third branch does not change the bill.

It is quoted per business rather than sold from a page, because past five the questions are usually about roles, approvals and who is allowed to transfer to whom rather than about the count. Tell us the number of locations and we will give you a figure.

That is a permission. By default a branch sees stock everywhere so staff can answer a customer honestly, and you can scope a role down to its own store if you would rather they could not. Permissions run to the individual action, not just the module.

Yes. The point of sale keeps taking sales offline and syncs the queue when the line returns. Transfers and purchasing need the connection, because they touch another location's numbers and guessing at those is worse than waiting.

Yes, that is what a transfer is for. Stock leaves one location and arrives at the other as one recorded movement, with no vendor, no bill and nothing to reconcile against a supplier who was never involved.
